    • Stock Ferrari 488 Pista tops 140 mph of trap speed on the dragstrip - 10.15@141.82 1/4 mile pass

The Pista appears to be the real deal. Ferrari knew the 488 was getting slapped around by basically everyone especially McLaren. Ferrari seemingly changed the software tune in 488's to make them a bit faster and knew they had to bring some serious power with the Pista to stand up the 720S.

Now, the Pista is maybe just a bit slower than the 720S but really to know we will have to see them head to head. It sure is close:

That is definitely 9-second capable out of the box.

Ferrari finally stepped their game up and they are just catching McLaren but hardly topping them. McLaren no doubt will fire back and increase the distance between themselves and Ferrari yet again.

It's worth noting that Ferrari seems to favor smaller turbo for minimal turbo lag, compared to more powerful but laggier Mclarens. If Pista is doing 141mph and is still as responsive as GTB, it could be that the engine is way more advanced than Mclaren.

No, just tuned for torque down low. That doesn't make it more advanced.
